I was asked to speak in Edinburgh last month by CraftScotland about marketing craft online. The audience was gallery owners, artists, and arts enthusiasts. Here's the presentation, broken down into 3 parts.
CEO of Artful Home/The Guild since early 2008 and transitioning to being single after 31 years of marriage in 2008 led me to think about the intersection of art, design, love, and life, so all are mixed in this blog. Professionally, I have served as a senior executive in marketing and design at wonderful brands including CMO at J. Jill,and Sr VP of Brand and Marketing at Gymboree, Smith and Hawken, and Eddie Bauer. Having been steeped in and earned degrees in fine art (California College of the Arts) and fashion design (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising), and having worked and morphed from fashion designer to marketer to online business developer, it gives me utmost pleasure to be combining all three in my mid-fifties. My kids are launched and wonderful, I am launched from my first marriage and exploring my way through single life and love.
